Bald Eagle Pair, Preening

I love November when the loads of eagles come to Oakland Bay to feast on the salmon swimming upstream. They are fascinating to watch, from the chicken walk to soaring, just soul lifting. And every once in while they will perch above me, like this photo. They are preening, loosening those feathers (as you can see by the feathers on the limb) but they sure do look like they are telling jokes! I hope you enjoy this photo as much as I enjoyed taking it.
